So yesterday my school choir and orchestra put on their big spring concert that was called..."A Night At the Oscars". If was a night of music from different oscar-winning films. There was music from Superman, Free Willy, E.T., Hannibal, Mary Poppins, Star Wars, Indianna Jones, Ray, The Passion, Remember the titans, and a bunch from different disney movies. We had songs from Aladdin, Fival goes West, The Lion King, and Beauty and the Beast. It was a pretty great night. We performed in an amazing venue called the Jack Singer Hall. It is where the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra performs amounst many different operas and broadway type shows.
Here is a picture of backstage where we kept some costumes and props. Those robes we wore during Will You Be There(Free Willy)
Here is a view from near the back of the theater. These seats are actually a lot better than they look on camera.
Here is some of my view from my drums.
I was going to sneak my camera on stage while i was singing but i didn't get the opportunity to. Everything just went so fast. But i hope you got a small idea of the show. It was a great night and it was a hit with the audience so that's all you can ask for. Hope you enjoyed this blog.

On The Menu...
I have really embraced this whole taking pictures of what you make thing. I don't really do many interesting things during the week but I am always making something new and interesting. I love to just pull out random ingredients and see what I can come up with. Sometimes it completely flops but 90% of the time what i create actually tastes pretty good. Luckily anything that I make Sandra loves so even if I don't like it I know she will.
Well tonight I figured I would make something different. So...I made lentils in a tomato sauce, i whipped up a sesame-ish marinade for some pork tenderloin, made a quick spicy peanut sauce for some shrimp, and finished by grilling some zucchini. And I must say it tasted pretty good. And really it is a my statement to calgary weather. "There may be snow on the ground but I WILL Barbeque my food!"

Memories
Well for some reason this after noon i remembered all the wonderful sat/sun mornings with fresh cinnamon buns and i decided that i would try and make some. They aren't quite as good as my mom's but they are pretty good anyway. I made them extra "sticky" and whipped up a vanilla icing to go along with it.
