Just a Heads Up

Well Sandra and I would like to thank you for all your support and kind words. We have decided to have our wedding in aug. The date will be Aug 17/2007(unless in the next 2 weeks complications arise). I just thought i would give you all a heads up. I will try and blog about as much as i can through the whole process.

And the good news is..........

Well, today i proposed to sandra. It was great, she had no idea it was coming so soon. It was great, earlier in the week Kristen said that she would go with sandra to see the ring thursday afternoon after choir rehearsal. So i knew that she had no idea that i had already bought the ring. I was going to let her go and show it to kristen only to find that it was gone(i had told the guy at the store to tell her that someone else bought it) but in the end i decided that it might be too cruel. So I decided that i would propose at choir. It worked out pretty good. We were in the chapel and over the past year it has been a pretty important place for us. We met there, we have spent a lot of time singing together in choir there, and we also lead a worship team together there. It seemed like the perfect place. Also we were surrounded by all our friends and people who cared about us. So after we were done class i said that i needed to make an announcement. I stood in from of everybody and said...........

"As you all know, just over a year ago i met the most amazing girl in the world"
(at this point sandra dropped her water bottle)
"I met her here so i figured that it was appropriate to do this here too"
(at this point i pulled out the ring)
"Babe, i love you more than you can even know"
(at this point i was very close to crying so i wrapped it up quick)
(i went down on one knee)
"Will you marry me?"

At this point she managed to squeak a yes and i put the ring on her finger. Turns out i made a bunch of people cry. Everyone cheered and hugs were given all around. It turned out great. Then after kristen and sandra of course cancelled their ring viewing and Brett, kris, sandra and i went out for dinner. All in all a great day. And i look forward to many more great days. Well i'm at it again!

Well with my parents coming in a couple days and a small wine, cheese, and desert party that i am throwing tomorrow night, i decided that i would really let the chef in me come out. So... I made a cheesecake. I have a friend that can't have eggs so i whipped up a no egg version. It is a white chocolate cheescake(with milk chocolate swirls) with a graham crust(and a hint of lemon). I also decided that i would make one of my favorite two desserts. Creme Caramel, and Creme Brule. I have already made the creme caramel and they are hanging out in the fridge(though i have had one already), now all i need to do is make the creme brule. With that i go back into my kitchen.(Which i spent 2 hours re-organising and cleaning). What a great Wed. night.

The Big 25

Well Brett is now 25, so a bunch of people went to Earls Sat. night to celebrate.



It was a great time of enjoying friends and family. As you look through the pictures you may notice that there is no picture of Brett actually in there, I kinda forgot to take a bunch of him and the ones that were taken were just too blurry.

Just A Sunday Night Dinner

Well once again i made a meal that i decided that you all should see. This one is some roasted garlic mashed potatos, Sauted zuchinni, and roasted snapper with a garlic dejion aioli sauce. It was pretty good, once again eat with your eyes.
