Sandra's Singing

Well last week Sandra sang in a little Christmas Concert and I thought i would throw it on here so everyone can enjoy.

So I was browsing Kori's blog and saw a plate that looked funnily like my own. Go figure. She made a roast beef dinner................I made a roast beef dinner. Ahhh the Templetons (and those with other names but still a Templeton at heart) and our roast beef dinners.





No veggies on mine though.

Deck the Halls

Well Christmas is very fast approaching(and it actually makes me sick a little about how soon it will actually be here) and I thought I would let you into our home and view our Christmas spirit. I am not really one who cares about trees or decorations but Sandra really wanted a nice tree so I surprised her and went out a bought one(a fake with the lights pre-installed) and we went out a week or so ago and she picked out decorations that she liked. Now ladies and gentlemen, our Christmas tree..............

Update

Well I just thought that I would do a little update on our lives. All is well in the Ashton household. Sandra is just finishing up another semester of school and I have a slight change in the workplace. For the past 5-6 months I have been the Sous Chef(2nd in command) at a pub called "The Seanachie Irish Pub". I enjoyed it there but i had to travel across the city to get to work and I wasn't really looking forward to doing that in the snow. Well I had asked for a transfer back in sept back to where i first worked with the company, the Kilkenny Irish Pub. About 3 weeks ago not only did I find out that I was getting transfered back to the Kilkenny but they were offering the Head Chef position to me as well. So for the past few weeks I have been going through numerous meetings with my executive chef, suppliers and staff members and getting things going the way I want them too. It is a huge challenge but I am loving it so far and I have so much that I can learn in this position. Well thats about it for now, just thought you would all like to share in the good news.

A new car

Well my truck is no more. Here is the new "family" car. Hopefully this will get us through the rest of Sandra's schooling without having to put any money into it. It is a 2001 ford focus. yeeha.

A little overdue.....

Well lets start from the beginning. As you all know sandra and I are married now.(duh!) Well since my room-mate got married in june and i was living by myself in our apartment(not to mention we couldn't find another place to live that we could afford) we decided that sandra would move in. Yea! But of course after 2 years of dirty boys living here the place needed a nice makeover. So we decided to paint.(and the landlord said he would pay for it). So we drove on down to the local Rona and began the lengthy adventure of picking out paint colors. Who knew i was so picky. In the end we finally decided on a really nice brown, green and yellow. Very bold colors.

There are still things to do. Put a bunch of pictures on the walls and other decorative stuff. All in all though, we love our place.

Man life is crazy

Life is so crazy right now. We are still putting the finishing touches on our apartment, sandra is starting school and i am back to work. Who knew that when you get married it is a ton of stuff to do to get her name changed and get everything set up with both of us. What a hassle. So i AM going to write about our honeymoon adventures but not this one. My goal is to have some blogs on here about that by sunday. But we did get a sample of some pictures from our wedding back and i thought i would quickly put them on here. Here they are..............

Ahh cruel world!!

Well here are some pictures from our honeymoon.





Just kidding. We got to the airport last saturday, ready for a wonderful adventure into the sandy beaches when................................Hurricane Dean decided to be a jerk and cancel our flight. Apparently a level 5 hurricane that is heading straight towards our destination is bad. Who knew. Well needless to say, it was a pretty emotional day. We went home(which was a disaster from painting moving and gifts and such) and slept our sorrows away. Upon waking up a couple of hours later we decided that we would just have to have some fun in the lovely province of Alberta. Yeeha. We got our trip entirely refunded so we had some money to play around with. I will blog some about the rehearsal, wedding and "honeymoon" later. Here it is

Yeah so the honeymoon isn't really top seceret. It is at a resort called Allegro Cozumel. It looks amazing.







We are looking forward to a great relaxing time of laying on the beach and eating tons of great food.

Now the wedding night is top-seceret. No one really knows but a few. Obviously i can't post pictures on here. It is a suprise for Sandra. But let me tell you this. It will be amazing.

I don't know if people are supposed to see them but sandra and i just love our wedding rings that we just got the other day so we decided that we should post them on here for everyone to enjoy.

The only things we really have left are some decorations, my groomsmen and my suits and other minor things.

We have decided that since my room-mate is also getting married and moving out that we are just going to stay where i live now. It is a pretty nice place. 2 bedroom apartment. Pretty spacious. The landlord said we can paint and make it our own so over the next month we are going to be picking colors to paint and some furniture to put in there. Luckily i have some couches that are pretty good so that helps alot. We should have our first together bought furniture piece this thursday when we are going to ikea and buying a tv entertainment thingy that we say the other day. Fun stuff!!
